Atlantic City Police Foundation Press Release
For Immediate Release: March 10, 2016
Come join The Atlantic City Police Foundation and Big Barker on Saturday, March 12th at the Atlantic City Bass Pro Shop 30 N Christopher Columbus Blvd.
(At the end of the Atlantic City Expressway) Atlantic City, NJ 08401, where we will be presenting current and retired K-9’s from the Atlantic City Police Department with Big Barker dog beds.
The beds were funded through a crowdfunding campaign conducted jointly by the Atlantic City Police Department and Big Barker. The Big Barker beds will significantly improve the quality of life for the department’s K9s by allowing them to rest more comfortably and sleep more soundly. The campaign also raised awareness of K9 arthritis and related joint pain problems in large dogs.
The dog bed presentation will directly follow the Atlantic City Police Department K-9 demonstration in front of Bass Pro Shop at 1:15 PM as part of Bass Pro Shop’s Dog Days Family Event. Bring your friends, family and dogs out to see the Atlantic City Police Department’s elite K-9 Unit demonstrate their skills. Then watch as the dogs are rewarded with Big Barker premium dog beds, designed specifically to reduce joint pain in big dogs.
The Atlantic City Police Foundation was established in 2014 by current and former police officers and community leaders to improve public safety in Atlantic City by assisting the City and the ACPD in funding worthwhile programs, initiatives, training and equipment that would otherwise not be feasible under the City budget. The Atlantic City Police Foundation is recognized by the IRS as a Section 501(c)(3) charity.
